One page covering how OptimizeClay works, what we collect, and the rules for using the product at optimizeclay.com. OptimizeClay is operated by Umbrella Labs. Last updated September 16, 2026.
What this product is
OptimizeClay analyzes the public workflow configuration in a Clay share link you paste. We estimate credit exposure and surface optimization opportunities. We do not log into Clay for you, install an extension, or ask for an API key.
Free scans are available without an account. Signing in is required to purchase a Workflow Audit. Purchases unlock that report snapshot, not unlimited use and not a subscription.
OptimizeClay is an independent product. We are not Clay, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of Clay.
Privacy
What we collect
- Scan input. The public Clay share URL and the row count you enter.
- Workflow configuration. The public shared-table payload Clay already exposes to anyone with the link — node names, action types, credits, gates, and dependencies. We use this to build the report.
- Account. Email, optional display name, and sign-in method (Google or email magic link). We do not store a password.
- Purchases. Which report you unlocked and which product you bought. Stripe processes the payment.
- Agency inquiries. Name, work email, company, website, approximate table count, and an optional note.
- Product events. Named actions such as scan started, paywall viewed, or checkout completed. We strip emails, tokens, and raw workflow payloads from those events.
What we do not collect
- Your Clay username, password, API key, or session.
- The people or company rows in your Clay table — the prospect data itself.
- Payment card numbers. Those stay with Stripe.
- Advertising profiles. We do not run ad pixels or sell personal data.
How we use it
We use this information to generate and show reports, keep paid analysis tied to the account that bought it, reply to agency inquiries, operate sign-in, and understand whether the product is working. We do not use your workflow configuration to train public models or to market to the people in your Clay tables.
Who else sees it
We use service providers to run OptimizeClay: hosting and infrastructure, Supabase for authentication and stored reports, Stripe for checkout, Google if you choose Google sign-in, and Clay's public shared-table API to fetch the link you pasted. They process data only to provide those services.
A report URL is an unguessable id. Anyone who has that URL can open the free scan. Paid findings stay locked to the purchasing account. Treat report links like you would any other share link.
Cookies
We use cookies that are required to keep you signed in (Supabase Auth) and to finish checkout after you return from Stripe. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
Report snapshots stay stored so you can reopen them. You can delete your account in Account Settings. That permanently removes your saved reports, purchased access in OptimizeClay, and your sign-in user. It does not automatically refund Stripe charges, and Stripe may keep payment records under its own policy. Agency inquiries are kept so we can reply.
Your choices
You can scan without creating an account. You can update your display name, sign out, or delete your account. If you want a copy of what we have or want us to correct something, email [email protected].
Terms of use
By using OptimizeClay you agree to these terms with Umbrella Labs. If you use it for a company, you confirm you are allowed to do so.
Your responsibilities
- Only submit Clay share links you are allowed to analyze. Do not paste a link to someone else's workflow without permission.
- Do not try to break, overload, or bypass the product, checkout, or account protections.
- You are responsible for the Google account or email you use to sign in.
The analysis is informational
Reports are generated from the public share payload and the row count you provide. Conditional credit ranges are ceilings, not forecasts. Dollar figures on a report are an illustrative conversion at Clay's published starting Data Credit rate, not a quote of your Clay invoice. We do not promise savings, exact future Clay bills, or that following a recommendation will produce a particular result. You decide what to change in Clay.
Purchases
Workflow Audit is a one-time charge for one analysis snapshot of one table. If the workflow changes and you scan again, that is a new report. There is no subscription and no unlimited plan. Agency pricing is quoted per table through the Agency form.
If checkout succeeds but you cannot open the paid report, contact us and we will help restore access. Deleting your account does not create a refund. For other billing questions, email [email protected].
Ownership
You keep whatever rights you already have in your Clay workflows. We keep the OptimizeClay product, branding, and the way we generate reports. We do not claim ownership of your tables.
Availability and limits
The product depends on Clay's public share endpoint and on our own hosting. We may refuse, rate-limit, or disable a scan if a link is private, malformed, or being abused. We may change prices, features, or these terms; the date at the top of this page is the current version.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Umbrella Labs and OptimizeClay are not liable for lost profits, lost credits, inaccurate Clay billing, or indirect damages arising from use of a report. Our total liability for a paid report is limited to the amount you paid for that report.
